"I-CAR Education Foundation launches new training initiative" ABRN, January 2001 - in Adobe Acrobat 5.0 Format

The I-CAR Education Foundation, along with many industry partners, has developed a fast-paced training program to fuel the industry and its future, PACE+ST3¨. (PACE+ST3 stands for People Actively Creating Employability Thru Short-Term Task Training.) The program is dedicated to providing students with competency-based collision repair training, and will enable the collision repair shop owners to hire high quality interns that can perform entry-level tasks in a competent manner with little or no supervision.

 

Snapshot of the Collision Industry Survey - in Adobe Acrobat 5.0 Format

Since 1995, the I-CAR Education Foundation has conducted the Snapshot of the Collision Industry Survey every three years. This survey is intended to show the current trends in the collision repair industry as well as showing statistics about business operations, the technician workforce, and income averages. The latest survey was completed in 2007. This is a modified version of those survey results.

This article shows the challenges that the youth of the collision repair industry are facing today as well as ways to overcome these challenges. Several students, instructors, and parents are featured in the article as they discuss their own personal experiences with the challenges in the collision repair industry.

 

I-CAR Industry Training Alliance Student Application (Using Enhanced Delivery Curriculum) - in Adobe Acrobat 5.0 Format

This student application is for students attending a career and technical school and college that is part of the I-CAR Industry Training Alliance. This form needs to be filled out by the student and needs to include the initials of the instructor next to the programs that have been successfully completed. Please see the checklist on the first page of the application for more information on submitting the application.
